THERMALMASS™ hemp-lime exterior wall insulation is a versatile, non-toxic, breathable composite with extremely high structural properties and an extremely high thermal mass to lower the costs of heating and cooling and retain a more even temperature in both summer and winter at a comparable cost
Magnum MgO Board is based on an abundant, non-toxic, cold-pressed mineral, that directly competes with featured fibre-cement exteriors and gypsum board walls and ceilings at a comparable overall cost, with substantial advantages, such as strength, durability and greater resistance to heat, water and mould damage

Purepanel™ honeycomb-core panelling is a cold-pressed, VOC-free composite with a recycled-waste interior and a range of surface laminations, including MgO board, suitable for interior walls, doors and joinery, and providing high fire rating and structural performance, and greater resistance to damage at a comparable cost
Sustainable materials and systems
Energy efficient, sustainable construction implies selecting the most suitable materials, considering design features and incorporating products such as heat pumps and low-energy lighting.
However, the greatest single impact on energy efficiency in a home comes down the choice of the materials for walls, ceilings and floors.
Advanced Living is one of the market leaders in New Zealand in introducing internationally proven products that can either integrate with or replace traditional materials.
All three products to the right save energy costs throughout their life cycle, are made from natural, non-toxic materials, and exceed the performance requirements of the New Zealand building code:
These materials can be integrated into our designs or into your own house plans.
We are happy to provide prospective home owners, builders, architects and designers with a per-plan quotation for the supply of one or more of these materials, and — if desired — a quotation for our cost in integrating these materials into an existing house plan that specifies other materials.
If we already have an accredited applicator close to the building site, we will also provide a quotation for installation of the materials.
If we do not have a local applicator, we will provide an estimate for installation, and invite applications from local builders for training and accreditation prior to providing a quotation.
For architects and designers, we expect to provide downloadable CAD drawings and manuals by September 2011.
Advanced Living will supply the materials on a per-project basis, and where applicable, they will be pre-cut to the exact dimensions, including openings, shown on the architectural drawings.
Currently the hemp, MgO board and honeycomb-core panelling is imported from Australia, and the lime is sourced from New Zealand.
THERMALMASS™, Magnum™ and Purepanel™ expect to secure a New Zealand CodeMark certification and set up distribution centres in New Zealand as soon as the market demand is sufficient.
Prior to certification, we will be happy to support applications for a building consent as an Alternative Solution.
