"Safekiwi" Escrow Service Explained


Advanced Living Homes works with Safekiwi Limited, formed originally by Mike Pero of "Mike Pero Mortgages" fame, to protect your money during construction.


We tire of seeing customers pay large sums of money up front to their builder, only to see them lose it when the builder cheats on them and either uses the money to pay off some other older debt, or goes out of business.


This simply shouldn't happen, and using our system, it doesn't ever have to happen again.


We do not touch your construction funds.


The escrow service has been around for centuries, and is the most secure system used for international business transactions today - the Letter of Credit. The supplier doesn't get paid until the goods are delivered, but at the same time, that supplier knows ahead of shipping that the funds are tagged with his name on it in the bank, as he's seen the paperwork for it.


Safekiwi works the same way, and the deposit you provide us is lodged safely in the special Safekiwi bank account. It is tagged for the supplier (the builder, the plumber, etc). Only they will be able to receive it, and only once they deliver their goods in top condition, which we confirm before we approve release of the funds to that supplier.
