There are a number of different types of solar water heating systems available, including plate collector, evacuated tube and traditional water tubes. There are options for on-roof tanks allowing thermo-syphoning, as compared to systems incorporating a small pump to circulate water or glycol to a tank below. There are closed loop systems and open-loop systems and numerous backup options for when the sun is not shining....
